Rhetorical PrécisChuck Plunkett in the article, "Osama bin Laden Must be Laughing in Hell", asserts that Donald Trump is slowly ruining America right before our very eyes. Plunkett supports his claim by first comparing and contrasting past presidencies and the effects produced to our present presidency and the negative effects produced. He then illustrates human life under the power of Trump; projecting the unjust effect of Trump's reign on the citizens of America. Lastly, the author describes the divide amongst Americans upon things such as gender or ethnicity and how Trumps reign will prove to make it worse. Plunkett's purpose is to bring about awareness to the damage that Trump is and will cause to America so that people may become knowledgeable and either fight against what is to come of our country or simply prepare for it. The author writes in a condemnatory & ominous tone for Americans. This work is significant because it reveals the ironic nature of how far America has been highly concerned about terrorist attacks from other countries when the main terrorist we should fear is running our country.

Rhetorical Analysis: DictionWithin the article, " Osama bin Laden Must be Laughing in Hell, Plunkett attempts to share his concerns about the new president of the United States and where his actions may lead us to in the following years. Plunkett describes Trump as a "thug" within the middle and end of his article. The author uses the term "thug" in an attempt to show how dangerous Donald Trump is to our nation. When one typically thinks of a thug, it is usually thought of as a person of a violent and dangerous background. It makes the reader question, "do we really want a thug running our country?". A thug is someone that people are usually cautious around in fear of something bad happening to them. But how are we to be cautious around a thug who runs our country? This is what Plunkett wants the reader to think about as he\she continues reading his article as well as into the future of a President Trump.
